Student Affairs Talk: Mason Hammond

Share:

Editor’s note: This is the latest installment in our series of “Student Affairs Talk” podcasts. In it, Communications Director for Student Affairs Philip Sikes visits with various leaders from the staff and student communities. This week’s featured guest is Mason Hammond, a senior economics major from Mount Pleasant, South Carolina.

Mason Hammond will graduate in three years this May with an economics degree.

Mason Hammond is the son of a University of South Carolina graduate, and grew up a huge Gamecocks fan. But a tour of the university and its business program changed all of that as he was exploring options as a student at Wando High School. Just three short years later, he is set to graduate this spring from Clemson with a degree in economics and a minor in finance.

Hammond chairs the health and human services committee for Clemson Undergraduate Student Government (CUSG) and has been intricately involved in other facets of campus life as well. Following graduation, he is set to start his career with SunTrust out of Atlanta. We discussed all of that and much more in this week’s podcast.
