Dear faculty and staff,
It is once again time to renew our shared commitment to best practices at Clemson through the University’s annual required training initiative. Launched eight years ago, this program equips faculty and staff with the knowledge and resources needed to foster a safe, ethical and supportive campus community.
This year’s training will cover two essential areas:
- Conflict of Interest (COI), including disclosure if applicable
- Information Security Awareness (ISA)
These modules reinforce our first line of defense in protecting the University: our people. The training highlights the responsibilities each of us holds in safeguarding Clemson’s values, data and community well-being.
Key details for 2025
The 2025 annual required training modules will be launched through Tiger Training on September 30, 2025, with a due date of November 18, 2025.
The COI and ISA modules will again feature shorter versions for those employees who previously completed training. Faculty and staff will be presented with a knowledge check in both modules. If they pass the knowledge check, they will not be required to take the remaining course content.
Support and Resources
Additional resources are available to support your training:
For questions:
- Conflict of Interest: Alisha Oxendine (alishah@clemson.edu)
- Information Security Awareness: Patrick McGee (phmcgee@clemson.edu)
- Tiger Training system support: tigertraining@clemson.edu
Both training modules must be completed by Nov. 18, 2025. Failure to do so will result in denied access to Clemson University accounts. While account denial is a last step, employees will receive multiple courtesy reminders before the deadline. Those who miss the deadline will need to contact the CCIT Support Center to restore access after completing the training.
Thank you for your continued support of this important requirement and for all you do to strengthen Clemson.
Sincerely,
Robert H. Jones
