To prepare for upcoming construction, beginning December 20, 2024, faculty, staff, students and visitors will observe construction fencing being erected in areas surrounding the Reflection Pond and the parking areas adjacent to Robert Muldrow Cooper Library and Watt Family Innovation Center.
Safety is the overall goal of this anticipated construction project. By enhancing the ADA accessibility around the pond’s perimeter and upgrading the lighting along the pathway, a greater number of visitors will be able to enjoy this portion of the heart campus.
All fencing should be erected by January 6, 2025, prior to the start of Spring Semester.
Filling in a small portion of the pond beneath the library bridge to create an outdoor study and learning area adjacent to the library will be a key feature once the work is complete.
A west Cooper Library parking lot will be closed and fenced. This area will be designated for contractors to move and store materials and equipment, however there will be space allowed for deliveries.
There will be no changes to public transportation.
