- Fulfill prerequisites –Take course prerequisites that are holding them from making progress.
- Boost a GPA – Students can retake classes to improve grades.
- Enjoy smaller classes and personalized support – Summer courses often have smaller enrollments, allowing for more one-on-one interaction with faculty.
- Stay active in leadership activities on campus – Students can remain involved in fraternity or sorority roles and other student organizations on campus while taking summer courses.
- Tackle foreign language requirements – Students may need up to three years of foreign language requirements for some majors, and summer sessions can provide an immersive experience without traveling.
- Reduce Fall and Spring course load – Completing labs or required classes in the summer frees up space during the academic year.
In addition to existing offerings, Clemson is gathering student feedback to help expand course availability in future summers, ensuring even more tailored opportunities moving forward.
