Editor’s note: This is the latest installment in our series of “Student Affairs Talk” podcasts. In it, Communications Director for Student Affairs Philip Sikes visits with various leaders from the staff and student communities. This week’s featured guest is Jacob Crotts, a senior majoring in animal and veterinary sciences.

Jacob Crotts, a Clemson senior, with retired administrative coordinator for Student Affairs, Kathy Hensen.
Jacob Crotts, who works as an assistant in the Office of the Vice President for Student Affairs, at a recent retirement ceremony for longtime administrative coordinator Kathy Hensen.

Jacob Crotts didn’t follow the typical path to Clemson. He grew up a huge fan of the University of South Carolina as a resident of Sumter, located just an hour east of the Gamecocks’ home in Columbia. But once he arrived on campus in the fall of 2015, it didn’t take long for him to call Clemson home.

Crotts serves as clerk for the Undergraduate Student Senate and also works as an assistant for the Office of the Vice President for Student Affairs. He calls both “defining moments” in his Clemson Experience and says he’s been spoiled thoroughly by Tiger football, which has advanced to the College Football Playoff each of his three years on campus. He discusses all of that and much more in this week’s podcast.
