University Facilities plans to install a sidewalk and lights along Old Stadium Road from Perimeter Road to the Madren Center.
The work is slated to be completed before the start of the Fall semester.
During the project, parts of Old Stadium Road will be closed to through vehicular traffic but accessible to pedestrians. Throughout the construction, drivers needing to travel to the Madren Center are instructed to access it from Cherry Road.
The Future
The sidewalk and lights will be installed on the north side of Old Stadium Road and on Madren Center Drive. The project will enhance pedestrian safety for those walking between the campus and the Madren Center and Walker Golf Course.
