In-State Remote Work program renewals due by July 1

Share:

Participants in the Clemson University In-State Remote Work Program must complete an annual program renewal to ensure accurate reporting to the Division of State Human Resources (DSHR).

All program participants must renew their remote work agreements by July 1, 2025.

Employees who joined the program after May 1, 2025, will not be required to complete the renewal process until June 2026.

How to Renew Participation

The remote work program team will email program participants with instructions to renew remote worker agreements in Tiger Training.

Once submitted, the renewal will automatically route to the appropriate supervisor for approval, denial or modification. Participants with questions regarding supervisor responses to renewal forms should reach out to their supervisor directly for clarification.

For Those Interested in Working Remotely

The In-State Remote Work Policy requires all University employees who work either hybrid or fully remote to have a documented remote work approval and agreement form through the University’s in-state remote work program.  The program, managed by the Office of Human Resources, includes procedures for leaders, supervisors and employees, and training requirements.

The remote work approval process and documentation are required by the state of South Carolina.

Individuals interested in remote work should reach out to their supervisor for area-specific guidance. While the in-state remote work policy lays the framework for the University, the decision as to whether and how to implement remote work is ultimately left to divisions, colleges and departments to best facilitate the specific area’s business operations.
