Faculty and staff are invited to view students’ marketing strategies for the University’s Quality Enhancement Plan. Students in a Creative Inquiry team will pitch their marketing strategies at a symposium from 10 a.m. to noon Wednesday, November 9.

Every 10 years, Clemson launches a Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP) to maintain accreditation through the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC). The purpose of a QEP is to allow universities to identify a topic that has broad-based support and can ultimately enhance student learning or student success.

Clemson is set to launch the latest QEP in 2023, which will focus on experiential learning. Many experiential learning opportunities exist on campus, including Creative Inquiry, Study Abroad, Service Learning and Undergraduate Research, among others.

To promote the quality enhancement program, QEP leadership created a Creative Inquiry course that allows students to create marketing plans for the QEP. These marketing plans were then handed off to a section of students in business professor Michele Cauley’s promotional strategy class. Students from Cauley’s class will compete in groups to earn the top 3 spots for their QEP Promotional Strategy proposals. These top 3 groups will join the Creative Inquiry team in pitching their marketing strategies at a Student Symposium, which is set to take place on November 9th from 10am – 12:00pm. In-person guests will include Provost Bob Jones, QEP leadership, and members of Clemson’s Marketing and Communications team.
