Students will be moving out of residential areas on main campus between April 24 and May 2. While roads and parking lots will not be closed, there will be increased traffic and potential parking impacts. Increased caution should be exercised around campus housing locations, including:
- Meter parking on Fort Hill
- Holmes/McCabe courtyard
- Gravel lot in front of Cribb and DesChamps (Johnstone site)
- E-4 AMIC Parking lot
- Sirrine Loop
- The Quad
- Bryan Mall meter parking
- Calhoun Courts with traffic exiting Energy Drive
- E-24
- Energy Drive meters
- E-27 meters at Douthit
- Douthit Hills Spine with traffic entering through sidewalk at Cherry and Hwy. 93 intersection
Dream Center “Lighten Your Load” trucks
Dream Center moving trucks will be available for students, faculty and staff to drop off larger items such as sofas, recliners, etc. from Monday, April 20, until Saturday, May 2, at 12 p.m. Trucks will be open from approximately 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily.
Trucks on the Quad and Douthit West will remain for donations between Sunday, May 3, at 12 p.m. through Friday, May 8. Trucks will be open from approximately 8 a.m.-3:30 p.m. during this period.
Locations of the trucks open through May 2 include:
- Bryan Mall: In green space next to Smith Hall and bottom of Bryan Mall across from Vickery Hall
- Greek Quad: In the yard between Donaldson and Bowen Halls
- Lightsey Bridge: Four-way stop next to R-6 parking lot
- Calhoun Courts/Thornhill Village: At the end of Calhoun North, closest to Thornhill.
- Douthit West: Grassy area beside Building B (will move to the spine after Closing I)
- Douthit East: In the grassy area between buildings E and G
- Shoebox area: Midway point between Geer and Sanders by stairwell
- West Campus area: Side of the fire lane across from Starbucks
- McCabe Hall: Upper corner of McCabe Hall across from Fort Hill
