Natasha Croom, associate dean of academic and student affairs at the Graduate School, has been recognized with two national awards for her contributions to scholarship and professional practice in higher education and student affairs.

Croom was recently named a Senior Scholar by the American College Personnel Association — College Student Educators International, an honor awarded to a select group of senior professionals who have demonstrated sustained contributions to advancing scholarship and practice in student affairs. The recognition is limited to 12 active members who support ACPA’s mission of transforming higher education through research, advocacy, and the promotion of equitable learning environments.

In addition, Croom has been selected as the recipient of the National Association of Student Personnel Administrators’ Robert H. Shaffer Award for Academic Excellence as a Graduate Faculty Member. The award acknowledges tenured faculty in graduate preparation programs who have made significant scholarly contributions, mentored graduate students, and served on doctoral dissertation committees.
