Clemson named to list of best SC employers for second consecutive year 

A best-in-class education and a best-in-state employer. 

Clemson University is, once again, a best-in-state employer for 2024, according to Forbes. Clemson previously made the Forbes’ South Carolina list in 2023. 

Among 55 named employers, Clemson joins the list with notable local employers like Michelin, AnMed Health and Greenville County Schools. 

Clemson has also previously won spots on the Forbes list of America’s Best Employers in 2022, 2021, 2020 and 2017. VIQTORY also named the University a Gold Military Friendly Employer in 2023. 

Forbes and Statista partner to develop the list through an independent survey. Statista analyzed survey responses from more than 160,000 employees working at companies with at least 500 employees. Statista asked employees how likely they were to recommend their employer, their evaluation of previous employers within the past two years, and their evaluation of organizations they knew within their industry or social circles. 

The group tallied and incorporated responses into a scoring system with survey data from the past three years, with greater weight given to more recent data and to responses from current employees. The companies with the highest scores were included in the state listings.
