Note: Students enrolled in at least six or more credit hours on main campus in the Fall semester automatically hold Campus Recreation memberships, which directly impacts the holistic experience and connects students with programs, people and experiences to reach fitness and wellness goals. If taking less than six hours, memberships are available for purchase.

As students settle in to the first full week of classes, the Department of Campus Recreation is offering a multitude of fitness classes that focus on cardiovascular training, strength training and flexibility. Over 70 weekly classes are offered during the Fall semester.

Swann Fitness Center at Fike and Douthit Hills Fitness Center both feature a number of different fitness and functional training programs open to students carrying Campus Rec memberships, including:

  • Barre
  • Cycling
  • High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT)
  • Hip Hop Kickboxing
  • Metabolic Conditioning (METCON)
  • Pilates
  • Total Body Strength
  • TRX Fusion
  • Werk It
  • Yoga

Programs typically run 45 minutes in length and are scheduled at various times throughout the week, including Sunday afternoons and evenings. Students are encouraged to sign up through the Campus Recreation online portal or via the Clemson Campus Recreation app by clicking on the ‘Fitness & Wellness’ icon. Registration for group fitness classes open 23 hours before scheduled start times. While many group fitness classes fill up quickly, other times and locations are typically available.

Personal training programs are also available to students at additional costs. Student rates range from $90 for three 60-minute sessions to $265 for 12 sessions.
