Summer construction projects to begin week of May 13

Beginning May 13, construction will begin or enter new phases on projects throughout the Clemson University main campus. Several of these projects will impact parking, transportation and access to the surrounding areas.

Building Projects

  • Fike Recreation Center Roof Replacement
    • Beginning summer 2024, E-14 employee lot closed
  • Hendrix Student Center Roof Replacement
    • Summer 2024, more information to come
    • Rear parking to be affected near loading dock
  • Cribb Hall Renovation
    • May 13–August 9
  • Johnstone/Union/Harcombe Demolition
    • Ongoing–End of 2025
    • Structural demolition to begin in June 2024

Road Construction Projects

  • Perimeter Road Fencing Installation
    • Eastbound single lane closure May 13–August 1
  • Kappa Street Repaving
    • May 20–August 1
  • Cherry Road Traffic Disruptions
    • May 22–July 2024 (weather permitting)
    • Cherry Road will close between Perimeter and Jersey Lane on May 22, Brooks Center lot available as a detour
  • Old Stadium Road Traffic Signal Installation
    • Single lane closure June 17-28
