Clemson Online, the University’s online course development and learning technology unit, is now known as the Office of Digital Learning and Technology (ODLT). The office will continue to provide expertise, resources, tools and personalized support to Clemson faculty and staff looking to leverage technology and teaching together.
The “Clemson Online” name will be used for future University undergraduate online programs and course offerings.
“We’re excited about this change,” said Sean Brittain, dean of Undergraduate Learning. “The Office of Digital Learning and Technology better reflects the breadth of their services while aligning our office with others at the University. We will still offer the same high level of expertise and resources supporting Clemson students and employees throughout the state.”
The Office of Digital Learning and Technology provides a wide range of technology and learning initiatives and services to the University, including:
- Ensuring high-quality for-credit online, hybrid, and face-to-face courses
- Providing Quality Matters trainings and Quality Matters course reviews for online and hybrid courses
- Developing and providing high-quality faculty development options and individual consultations
- Producing educational videos
- Providing high-quality Extension and Continuing and Professional Education online offerings
- Providing recommendations and support for educational technologies
