Accepted Students’ Day on March 14, 2026, was full of amazing moments. Our student services team captured one of our inaugural vet students accepting her offer into the program. The QR Code to log in and accept the offer was prominent throughout the day, including on the ID badge of our Director of Admissions and Student Services, Tajuan Sellars, Ph.D.
Grace Hankins, a Clemson University undergraduate alumna, says she knew she’d receive a lot of information on this special day and wanted to hear more about the program before formally accepting the offer. She scanned Sellars’ badge and made her decision as the day drew to a close.
“Throughout the day, we had heard all about the ins and outs of Clemson’s veterinary school, and I felt so overjoyed that this program was right for me,” said Hankins. “I was feeling more and more confident in my decision as the day went on, so I was happy to take the next step finally.”
Hankins says she’s interested in mixed animal medicine. She’s particularly interested in the human animal bond.

“I chose to pursue veterinary medicine because of the unique opportunity to build meaningful relationships within the profession. The reward of caring for animals is what drew me into veterinary medicine. However, I find that serving pet owners during vulnerable, emotional moments has strengthened my passion to pursue this career with the utmost excellence.”
As a Clemson graduate, she’s excited to be back for another four amazing years!
“I am most looking forward to building relationships with my professors and classmates! The thought of being able to pursue this journey with 79 other students and all of the amazing staff is incredibly exciting, and I can’t wait to spend the next four years with this community.”
