The days of circling for a parking spot on Clemson University’s campus are over — real-time parking availability is now available on the Tigers Commute app and website from Parking and Transportation Services.

In Tigers Commute (available for iOS and Android), simply click or tap the “P” parking icon and select a lot to view available parking spaces. The maps use live data from sensors installed in over 10,000 parking spaces on main campus. Available lots include employee, commuter, carpool, ADA, EV charging, visitor, metered parking and more.

Using the Tigers Commute app, search for your preferred lot (you can filter by permit type) and tap the lot’s icon to open the parking lot menu. From there, select “View Parking Map” to view available spaces. You can also tap “More Info on Parking Permits” to view relevant regulations and guidelines. The Tigers Commute app recently earned an Award of Excellence from the International Parking and Mobility Institute (IPMI).

“We are so excited to elevate the parking experience using innovative technology for real-time parking availability on a scale never done before,” said Dan Hofmann, director of Parking and Transportation Services. “This will bring full transparency to parking on campus for all users and the data that we capture regarding parking occupancy by time of day and day of week is invaluable, helping us further refine our parking projections into the future to ensure we meet the ever-increasing demand to improve the overall parking and transportation experience at Clemson.”

Note: While Tigers Commute may show real-time parking availability during home football games, campus parking spaces are subject to football parking rules and regulations. Towing will be enforced.

Park-N-Ride lots also offer real-time parking availability.

Don’t want to search for parking at all? Park-N-Ride is available for students and employees at a discounted rate of $50 per year. Park-N-Ride lots feature shaded parking, electric vehicle charging spaces and shuttles that arrive every six minutes during peak times and 15 minutes during off-peak times. For more information, visit the Park-N-Ride page.
