Finance and Operations

Every item purchased from a campus vending machine has the potential to benefit your department or organization.

Each year, Clemson allocates a portion of vending machine revenue to support initiatives not typically funded through departmental operating budgets. Any University department or recognized organization may apply for these funds, which are intended for activities that align with Clemson’s mission and benefit the broader community. Historically, approved requests have demonstrated wide community reach, clear connection to our strategic priorities, and meaningful contributions toward Clemson Elevate objectives.

Vending funds will not be allocated to supplement operating budgets or alcoholic beverages, and blanket funding requests will not be considered. According to the Budget Office Policies and Procedures Manual, “priority will be given to local activities that enhance the intellectual and cultural life of the community.”

Vending Request Web Application

  • Requests can be submitted up until 4:30 p.m. February 27, 2026.
  • Requests should include itemized dollar amounts requested along with a summary explanation of the intended use of funds and impact to community.
  • Requests from departments will be communicated back to each Budget Center Business Office for final approval.
  • Requests from student organizations should be channeled through Student Government and then communicated back to the Student Affairs Business Office for final approval.

Funds allocated in a fiscal year must be spent during that fiscal year. Any unspent funds will be returned to the Vending Committee account by fiscal year-end.

Budget Center Business Officers will receive an email informing them whether the requested funds were approved or denied.
