Our Clemson

When Workday launches in July of this year, all Clemson faculty and staff will have a new, cloud-based HR and Finance system in which to complete many of their daily tasks. The new system will replace many current tools and change how we use others.

Throughout the next several months, faculty and staff will hear more about Workday: how it will change and impact our current processes, and what steps the University is taking to prepare employees through resources like training and support structures.

As we approach go-live, the Workday@Clemson program team wants to ensure all faculty and staff feel supported and informed about the transition from the current systems to Workday. Employees are encouraged to connect with the program in various ways as July approaches.

Where to begin

The Workday@Clemson Fast Facts website provides a quick overview of the new system and its impact on Clemson. This page also contains a full list of systems to be sunset or changed during the Workday implementation.

For those interested in a more in-depth look at Workday, the Workday@Clemson blog contains articles that discuss key Workday terms, changes to be aware of and interviews with Clemson colleagues.

Campus User Groups: The Clemson connection

Over the past two years, hundreds of people from across colleges and divisions had a hand in ensuring Workday@Clemson is a system made for Clemson, by Clemson.

This includes 230 individuals who have participated in the program as members of Campus User Groups. These small groups of faculty, staff and student workers represent colleges, divisions, administrative units and related organizations across the state.

These team members are intricately aware of Workday’s functionalities, features and “wins” for Clemson. This makes them a great resource for faculty and staff to ask questions and learn more about how Workday will impact them.

Faculty and staff can reach out to their Campus User Group Lead with questions about the system, how it will work at Clemson and how to access more Workday information.

More to come

As the semester moves forward, the Workday@Clemson team will share more information about how to engage with the Workday system, how and when to participate in training, and how the University will transition from current systems to Workday in July.

Later this spring, Workday Info Sessions will also take place across the University. These will provide an update on training and system transitions and allow faculty and staff to ask questions.
