Clemson is conducting its annual fall installment of Power of the Paw — a twice-yearly “quick pulse survey” that measures well-being and sense of belonging — through Wednesday, Oct. 7 for both undergraduate and graduate students. The survey is emailed to each student from Clemson University Student Affairs with an anonymous, individualized link.

“We invite all students to share their voice and help us enhance their Clemson experience,” says Vice President for Student Affairs Doug Hallenbeck. “The survey takes less than five minutes to complete, and those who finish are entered into a drawing for a number of great prizes. Stakeholder feedback is very valuable, and responses help drive decisions we make for students and the campus community.”

Incentives offered through the survey include:

  • 2026-27 parking permits
  • New iPad
  • Paw Points (ranging from 50 to 200 free points)
  • Research grants ranging from $100-$250
  • Behind-the-scenes tour of Memorial Stadium and another athletic venue of student’s choice (with one guest)
  • Fall semester F45 fitness pass for Swann Fitness Center at Fike
  • Bonfire and s’mores event at Andy Quattlebaum Outdoor Education Center (for up to 50 guests)
  • Bike Share membership
  • Weekend camping equipment from Campus Recreation
  • Clemson memorabilia (shirts, hats or other promotional items)

All prizes are awarded by random selection among valid entries and winners are notified through their Clemson email. Students have 30 calendar days to claim their prize following the instructions contained in their notification.

Last fall, more than 3,600 students completed the survey. Some of the top takeaways from the survey responses included:

  • 93% would definitely or probably choose Clemson again as their college destination
  • 92% somewhat agreed, agreed or strongly agreed they belonged at Clemson
  • 85% reported overall well-being as good, very good or excellent (7% increase from Fall 2024)
  • 66% correctly identified at least four of Clemson’s six values (24% increase from Fall 2024)
