University Facilities will make several road improvements on and around Perimeter Road during the 2023 summer break, including raising intersections to meet new roadway design criteria. The work is weather dependent and timeframes may adjust accordingly.
May 13 – June 6: The entrance into Lightsey Bridge will be closed and Theta Kappa Street will be closed periodically through August 10. During the closures, traffic will be rerouted to Newman Road and onto Commons Court.
May 24 – June 2: The northern section of the Cherry Road and Perimeter Road intersection (near Cherry Rd.) will be closed. Traffic will be channeled through Jersey Lane and Brooks Center Drive during the closure.
June 4 – June 14: The southern portion of the Cherry Road and Perimeter Road intersection will be closed and a portion of Cherry Road will move to one lane. Old Stadium Road may be used as a detour during this time.
