Clemson University is once again a Forbes best employer by state. Clemson earned the No. 13 ranking in South Carolina, the University’s highest rank since it was first recognized seven years ago.
Clemson’s ranking places it as the No. 1 education employer in the state of South Carolina, and in the top 15 of South Carolina employers overall.

Ayers, president of Clemson University. “Being named the No. 1 education employer in South Carolina reflects the talented faculty and staff who make Clemson such a special place. This recognition is a testament to the work we are doing to build a best-in-class environment for all of our Tigers.”
The University employs nearly 7,000 employees across the state, with employees working in all 46 counties.

Forbes partners with market research firm Statista to complete this annual survey. More than 240,000 employees from companies with at least 500 employees completed this year’s survey. Responses are tallied and incorporated into a scoring system, along with survey data from the past three years.
