Employee timekeeping and leave during hazardous weather

Share:

The Office of Human Resources provides the following guidance:

  • For faculty, staff and student workers, your supervisor is your first point of contact regarding expectations for work during a hazardous weather event.
    • Employees designated as essential for the purposes of maintaining essential and/or critical services during hazardous weather are to report to work, which may include working remotely, as directed by their supervisor. All other employees should follow the closing determinations regardless of whether they are scheduled to report to work in person or remotely on the day of the delay/closure.
  • Leave-eligible employees who miss work time due to closure/delay for hazardous weather are asked to wait to enter leave into Kronos until further guidance is received from the Office of the Governor. Clemson’s Office of Human Resources will share additional guidance when available.
  • Employees without leave who miss work time due to closure/delay for hazardous weather should work with their supervisor to create a plan for making up time missed.
