The Clemson University Police Department (CUPD) has been named the 2023-24 13th Circuit Alcohol Enforcement Team (AET) Agency of the Year for Pickens County by Behavioral Health Services of Pickens County, the 13th Circuit Alcohol Enforcement Team and The Phoenix Center.
The award recognizes departments committed to reducing underage drinking and helping protect young people from the dangers of underage drinking.
“This is an outstanding recognition for CUPD that highlights the hard work of our entire team and showcases the impact that our efforts have to contribute to the safety of the Clemson University community,” said Deputy Chief Chris Harrington. “This is truly a team effort with everyone playing a role in the work that went into receiving this award.”
It is the second agency of the year honor for CUPD this year. The department was also named the Agency of the Year for DUI enforcement and anti-underage drinking programs by the South Carolina Department of Public Safety.
