The Graduate School invites graduate students, faculty, and staff to nominate outstanding individuals for several prestigious awards that recognize excellent academic performance and exemplary contributions to Clemson graduate education.

Individuals may be nominated for multiple awards, but supporting documentation must be submitted separately for each award. Previous recipients of an award are not eligible for a second prize in the same category. Self-nominations will not be accepted.
GRADUATE STUDENT AWARDS
Outstanding Graduate Researcher Award: Presented to two graduate student researchers to recognize their outstanding contributions to research activity and their future promise as researchers. Winners receive $1,000. Nominations are due March 15.
Outstanding Graduate Teaching Assistant Award: Presented to two graduate student teaching assistants to recognize their outstanding contributions to student learning and development. Winners receive $1,000. Nominations are due March 15.
Frankie O. Felder Graduate Student Award of Excellence: Presented to one graduating master’s student or doctoral candidate who exhibits academic excellence and inspires others by demonstrating perseverance through adversity. The winner receives a commemorative medallion and a cash prize. Nominations are due February 15.
FACULTY AND STAFF AWARDS
Norsaadah Husain International Graduate Student Support Award: Presented to one staff or faculty member to recognize their excellence in supporting international graduate students. The winner receives $1,000 with an additional $500 for their department. Nominations are due March 1.
Clemson University Distinguished Graduate Student Support Staff Award: Presented to one staff member to recognize their excellence in supporting graduate students. The winner receives $1,000 with an additional $500 for their department. Nominations are due March 1.
Clemson University Distinguished Doctoral Mentoring Award: Presented to two faculty members to recognize their excellence in mentoring doctoral students. Winners receive $1,000 with an additional $500 for their department. Nominations are due March 1.

Graduate School Award for Commitment to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion: Presented to one graduate student, staff, or faculty member to recognize their commitment to advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion through their engagement in graduate education at Clemson University. The winner receives $1,000. Nominations are due March 1.
