Dear Students,
As the new academic year begins, I want to offer a warm welcome to each of you. Whether you’re just starting your time at Clemson University or returning to continue it, this moment holds great promise.
When I arrived at Clemson as a student in 1976, I couldn’t have imagined the lifelong impact this community would have on me. The people you’ll meet will help shape your growth in ways you may not fully realize. Some of the most lasting parts of your experience will come from those personal connections with your classmates, mentors and faculty.
You’ll find opportunities to follow your passions in the classroom, through research, in student organizations or by exploring new ideas. And you’ll be supported by faculty and staff here to help you learn, grow and succeed.
I encourage you to take part in Welcome Week, explore the many resources available to you and begin the year with purpose. You are part of something truly special here, and I hope you’ll make the most of all that’s ahead.
