Venkat Krovi receives Dedicated Service Award from the American Society of Mechanical Engineers

Venkat Krovi of Clemson University has received the Dedicated Service Award from the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME).

Krovi serves as the Michelin Endowed Chair Professor of Vehicle Automation at Clemson.

Venkat Krovi (center) received an ASME Dedicated Service Award at a luncheon in Washington, D.C.

In choosing Krovi for the award, ASME cited him for “sustained and vigorous service to ASME including service as Editor-in-Chief of Journal of Mechanisms and Robotics (2018-present) and past service as an Associate Editor of the Journal of Mechanisms and Robotics, the Dynamic Systems and Controls Magazine, the Journal of Dynamic Systems, Measurement, and Control, and the IEEE/ASME Transactions on Mechatronics.

“He spent several years as an organizer of the IDETC-CIE, culminating in being General Conference Chair in 2014. He also served as Chair of the DED Mechanisms and Robotics Technical Committee (2012-2014) and the Leadership Team of the Design Materials and Manufacturing Segment (2014-2017).”

Krovi received his award at a luncheon last month during the International Design Engineering Technical Conferences & Computers and Information in Engineering Conference in Washington, D.C.
