The 2019-20 academic year may be ending in a less-than-desirable fashion, but it doesn’t diminish the academic excellence achieved by College of Business students.

Banner Brock

Some of the best and brightest students across all disciplines of business have been duly recognized for their accomplishments inside and outside the classroom.

Banner Brock, a senior majoring in Economics, is the recipient of the Wallace Dabney Trevillian Merit Award. Named after Wallace Trevillian, dean emeritus of the college, the award goes to a senior with one of the highest scholastic records in the business school. Outstanding character and leadership involvement in student organizations are prerequisites.

“I am honored to receive the Trevillian Merit Award. Dr. Trevillian’s legacy of leadership and scholastic excellence embodies what I treasure most about Clemson and what makes this university so special,” Banner said.

From Lookout Mountain, Ga., Banner is graduating summa cum laude, and was also awarded the Harvey J. Wheeler Award for Outstanding Senior in Economics. Outside the classroom, Banner is a Chapman Leadership Scholar, served as the Athletics Chair of Student Government and is director of the Spanish Mentoring Program for Clemson Hope, a local non-profit he helped launch.
