Note: Students enrolled in at least six or more credit hours on main campus in the Fall semester automatically hold Campus Recreation memberships, which directly impacts the holistic experience and connects students with programs, people and experiences to reach fitness and wellness goals. If taking less than six credit hours, memberships are available for purchase.

Campus Recreation offers three distinct facilities for students to engage in well-being activities. From the historical backdrop of Fike Recreation Center to the modern feel of both Douthit Hills Fitness Center and the Snow Complex—Clemson offers a wide variety of instructional and competitive activities that promote development of the mind and body. Students are encouraged to take advantage of the different amenities offered at each unique venue.

Swann Fitness Center at Fike

The Swann Fitness Center at Fike is Clemson’s largest and most versatile facility dedicated to recreation and encompasses approximately 250,000 square feet. The entrance of the facility includes a wellness zone and two levels of cardio and strength equipment—ranging from treadmills and stair climbers to dumbbells and barbells. The ground floor is flanked by six basketball courts, which can be easily converted for other indoor sport use. McHugh Natatorium features a 25-yard lap pool, dive well, sauna and steam room. The facility also includes racquetball courts, functional training space, group fitness studios, a 30-foot climbing wall and an indoor track.

Douthit Hills Fitness Center

New to main campus in Fall 2018, Douthit Hills Fitness Center consists of 30,000 square feet and includes two group fitness studios, a cycle studio, functional training space, fitness assessment space and modern cardio and strength equipment. The facility is located on the second floor of the Hub at Douthit Hills, a transformational student life space amidst Clemson’s largest on-campus housing district.

Snow Family Outdoor Fitness and Wellness Complex

The Snow Family Outdoor Fitness and Wellness Complex is one of the nation’s largest and most picturesque lakefront recreational facilities. It features multiple synthetic turf spaces for Intramural and Club Sports competition, including Championship Field and LoConte Family Field, and—new this fall—Davidson Family Field and Reed Softball Field. In addition to these spaces that allow for year-round sports competition with minimal weather impact, the Snow Complex is home to the Andy Quattlebaum Outdoor Education Center. Better known as Andy’s, this spectacular venue houses Clemson Outdoor Recreation and Education (CORE) and features adventure trip and equipment rentals, student lounge space and a bike repair shop.
