Clemson University soils professor emeritus Bill R. Smith will always be remembered for his passion for teaching and willingness to share his knowledge of soil science. Smith passed away on March 29, 2021, after battling cancer. A celebration of life will be held from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. on May 1, 2021, with a tribute at 4 p.m., at the Historic Ballenger House , 212 E. South 3rd St., Seneca, S.C. 29678. Masks are required
