Just as most delicious meals start with an appetizer, Clemson FRESH is inviting industry professionals to get a taste of what’s to come at its March 2025 Packaging & Sustainability Summit by participating in its Thursday Thoughts series of virtual seminars.
The series, which begins Thursday, Aug. 15., 2024, at 3 p.m. ET with, “Developing Next-Generation Sustainability Talent,” will explore the latest trends and innovations in sustainability, and offer in-depth discussions, expert insights and practical strategies from sustainability thought leaders.
“Our Thursday Thoughts series is the perfect primer for the March 2025 Summit, but the seminars also stand alone as a great way to learn the latest trends in an array of sustainability topics,” said Anne Q. Barr, Fresh Executive Director.
Other confirmed seminars include:
- “Future of the Food System: Consumer Butterflies, Producer Wizards and Everything in Between,” 3 p.m. ET, Sept. 19, 2024;
- “The Composting Consortium: Keeping Organics in a Circular Economy,” 3 p.m. ET, Oct.17, 2024; and
- “KC Chiefs and the 93K-Pound French Fry Bag Challenge,” 3 p.m. ET, Nov. 21, 2024. Registration coming soon.
The seminar series is free and explores topics including opportunities for partnerships to develop the next generation of sustainability talent; perspective on how to chart a path forward in the face of disruptions caused by the latest technology; laying the groundwork for a more robust, resilient composting system that can keep organics and compostable packaging in circulation; and a collaboration between Aramark, Eagle Packaging, No Trace Packaging and the Kansas City Chiefs to develop a compostable bag for frozen French fries.
