At the start of the 2020-2021 academic year, the senior academic leadership at Clemson was pleased to be able to promote and/or award tenure to 69 outstanding scholars. In total, 20 faculty were promoted to professor, 32 were promoted to associate professor and awarded tenure, 16 were promoted to senior lecturer and another faculty member was promoted to librarian.
Due to COVID-19’s safety protocols, the University is not able to host a gathering of all honorees, a time traditionally reserved to celebrate this group’s achievements. Undiminished however, is the fact that this milestone is a significant accomplishment, representing the faculty members’ sustained and deep commitments to research, scholarship, teaching and service.
