More than 1,000 students are set to earn bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral degrees from Clemson University in August. Doctoral Commencement and Commencement for bachelor’s and master’s graduates are both scheduled to be held in Littlejohn Coliseum. Doctoral Commencement is set for 3 p.m. on Thursday, August 7, followed by Commencement for bachelor’s and master’s degree candidates at 9 a.m. on Friday, August 8.
Tickets are not issued, but graduates are asked to limit to a maximum of six guests. Doors open one hour prior to Doctoral Commencement and two hours prior to Friday’s ceremony.
Magnetometers are present at all entrances to Littlejohn Coliseum and the facility’s clear bag policy is utilized for faculty, staff, graduates and guests. The north entrance (off of Ravenel Road) features ADA parking and wheelchairs are available for individuals with accessibility needs.
Guest services is located in Burton Gallery, on the south end of the coliseum. Additionally, stroller/walker check-in is available in the east corner next to Burton Gallery and separate areas for first aid and lactation are also located near the same area.
General parking is available in the immediate vicinity of the coliseum. Please allow for extra time entering the facility due to construction on the southeast corner (adjacent to Avenue of Champions and Centennial Boulevard). Additionally, the east entrance to Burton Gallery will not be accessible during Commencement.
Both ceremonies are live streamed by Clemson TV. The complete list of graduates will be published on the Clemson University website.
Information for graduates and attending faculty for Friday’s ceremony
Graduates and attending faculty are asked to enter Littlejohn at the loading dock entrance from the Avenue of Champions. Graduates will check in and line up in Swann Pavilion and move onto the main floor alphabetically by college. Faculty will be directed to the elevators for access to the Coliseum Club.
Thursday, August 7 – Ph.D. graduates
3 p.m. – Doctoral Commencement
Friday, August 8 – Bachelor’s and master’s graduates
9 a.m. – All colleges
