The Wilbur O. and Ann Powers College of Business is proud to announce that its MBA in Entrepreneurship & Innovation (MBAe) program has been ranked 10th in the world among entrepreneurship MBA programs for the year 2024 by Poets & Quants. This ranking places Clemson University’s MBAe program in the top tier of prestigious institutions such as Babson and the London School of Business.

“This ranking is a testament to the excellence of our programs and the hard work of our students and faculty. We remain committed to providing a dynamic educational environment that equips our students with the skills and knowledge they need to thrive in the ever-evolving world of entrepreneurship and innovation.” – Dean Wendy York

Poets & Quants is renowned for its comprehensive annual evaluation of MBA programs and is considered an authority in the field. This ranking is a testament to the commitment of the Clemson MBAe program to provide students with the best resources and educational experiences for future entrepreneurs and innovators.

Poets & Quants rankings are determined by an analysis of how resources are allocated to individual students, program student-to-faculty ratios with smaller class sizes and programs where entrepreneurial support is more concentrated. With an average class size of 20, the Clemson MBA Program is committed to providing these resources to those earning their MBA. This support further continues with the MBAe program with connections to economic and entrepreneurial accelerators in South Carolina such as NEXT Greenville and the South Carolina Research Authority.

“We are thrilled and honored by this recognition. It reflects our commitment to providing a world-class education that empowers our students to excel in the entrepreneurial landscape, and it further motivates us to continue fostering innovation and entrepreneurship within our programs.” – Gregory M. Pickett, Associate Dean and Director of the MBA Program

About the Clemson MBA in Entrepreneurship & Innovation (MBAe)

The Clemson MBA in Entrepreneurship & Innovation (MBAe) is a cutting-edge program designed to empower students to bring their innovative ideas to life. Whether students aspire to launch their own companies, drive innovation within their current jobs or address pressing societal issues through not-for-profit endeavors, the MBAe program equips them with the essential business knowledge required for success, with a special emphasis on startup-specific topics such as venture finance, intellectual property and entrepreneurial strategy.

The MBAe curriculum is enriched by real-world perspectives, with all classes being taught by distinguished Clemson professors, accomplished entrepreneurs and business leaders who share practical examples of how to turn innovative ideas into market-ready solutions. Students also have numerous opportunities to interact with local and national entrepreneurs and business leaders through networking events, including the Innovative Leadership Series and special programming offered by Clemson’s Phyfer Innovation Hub within the Clemson MBA space at Greenville ONE.

The program’s pinnacle experience, the Clemson EnterPrize Awards, is a business capstone course and pitch competition that allows students to present their ideas to an audience of business owners, venture capitalists and entrepreneurs. This process provides invaluable feedback and the opportunity to refine and perfect their presentations, a skill that is highly beneficial to both entrepreneurs and executives alike.

In addition, MBAe students can participate in the Innovation at Work Competition, designed for those who have initiated intrapreneurial programs or strategies within their organizations. This competition encourages students to apply their classroom knowledge to real-world challenges in the workplace, with corporate executives, HR leadership and business owners serving as judges.

The Clemson MBAe Program’s remarkable ranking in the Poets & Quants 2024 list reflects its dedication to fostering the next generation of innovative leaders and entrepreneurs. For more information about the program and its offerings, please visit the Clemson MBAe webpage.
