When Workday launches on July 1, it will bring streamlined and simplified processes to support faculty and staff completing HR and finance tasks across Clemson.
With the same streamlined approach and a continued focus on improving customer service for faculty and staff, HR, payroll and finance teams will leverage ServiceNow beginning July 1 to better support customer inquiries.
Currently, many HR and finance teams operate shared inboxes or forms to connect with faculty and staff. When an inquiry crosses disciplines, or is sent to the wrong team, it can sometimes means email chains and back-and-forth that can slow down resolutions for impacted faculty and staff.
With ServiceNow, these teams can easily manage inquiries behind-the-scenes and ensure faculty and staff questions get sent to the team that can quickly, and thoughtfully, respond to their requests.
Streamlined support
Beginning July 1, current inboxes, most HR, payroll, and finance teams will transition to the ServiceNow portal. Teams will also decommission links to current emails, forms, and chatbots. In the portal, faculty and staff can explore categories, depending on their needs, and select forms like “I have a benefits question” or “I need a budget amendment” to send their question or request to the correct team.
Forms route to the same teams faculty and staff are used to emailing or chatting with directly. Once the case is received, service teams will respond within ServiceNow to inquiries and requests.
Connection to TigerHub
ServiceNow also powers TigerHub, Clemson University’s Computing and Information Technology (CCIT) portal for ITHelp and support.
The HR, Payroll and Financial Services tile within TigerHub will connect faculty and staff to these support teams.
Financial Shared Services, which previously had a tile on the main TigerHub portal, will be incorporated into the HR, Payroll and Financial Services tile.
Questions
Faculty and staff may send questions regarding the transition to ServiceNow to workday@clemson.edu.
