Fraternity and Sorority Life accepting nominations for 2024 Pillars of the Community

The Office of Fraternity and Sorority Life is accepting nominations for 2024 Pillars of the Community awards. Pillars were introduced in 2023 in conjunction with the 50th anniversary celebration of national fraternity and sorority affiliation at Clemson. Pillars are presented to fraternity and sorority alumni that have made significant contributions to Clemson University, their local or national organization, their industry or public service.

April 22, 2023 - Fraternity and Sorority Life is celebrating 50 years of national affiliation at Clemson University. As part of the formal program, six "Pillars of the Community" will be honored - including President Emeritus James F. Barker and current Board of Trustees Chair Kim Wilkerson. The event was held at the Madren Center.

Pillars were introduced in 2023 in conjunction with the 50th anniversary celebration of national fraternity and sorority affiliation at Clemson. Pillars are presented to fraternity and sorority alumni that have made significant contributions to Clemson University, their local or national organization, their industry or public service.

Nominations for the next class will be accepted through the end of the day on Friday, Dec. 1. Complete the online nomination form if you would like an individual to be considered as a 2024 pillar recipient. Posthumous nominations are accepted.

The 2024 Pillars of the Community will be presented during a gala on Saturday, March 23 at the Madren Conference Center. Email Gary Wiser, assistant dean of students and Fraternity and Sorority Life director, for more information.
