Fight the Flu: Students can receive a vaccine from Redfern Health Center today

Share:

Students interested in receiving a seasonal flu vaccine are encouraged to set up appointments through Redfern Health Center before the upcoming Winter Break. Receiving a flu vaccine can reduce the burden of illness on the health care system and save medical resources to care for people experiencing COVID-19 symptoms. Medical experts say it takes about two weeks after vaccination to develop antibodies and provide protection against the flu.

Schedule an appointment online in MyHealth-e or by calling the Redfern Health Center pharmacy at 864-656-3562. Most flu vaccines given by the pharmacy will be covered by insurance at no cost. Bring your pharmacy insurance card or upload it in the MyHealth-e portal. The flu vaccine costs $39.99 if it is not covered and can be paid at the time of service or added to a student account. Acceptable forms of payment include cash, check, debit, credit, Apple Pay and Tiger Stripe. The vaccine is 100% covered if you have the Clemson University Student Health Insurance Plan.
