Deadline Approaching: Performance Evaluations for Group 3 Staff due by February 28


The deadline to submit performance evaluations for staff members in Group 3, who have performance periods from March to February, is quickly approaching. Employees in budget centers with a Group 3 performance period must complete their annual performance evaluation by February 28.

Budget centers are grouped into three performance period groups. Budget centers in Group 3 can be found by referencing the Performance Periods by Group document.  

These evaluations are vital in developing Clemson University employees, allowing for increased collaboration between employees and supervisors. Clemson utilizes OnBase-Performance to complete performance evaluations for all full-time equivalent staff positions.    

The OnBase form will lock if all steps (the overall rating and all three signatures) are incomplete by the February 28 deadline. Discussions between staff members and supervisors regarding the previous year’s performance are vital in the development and growth of Clemson staff. Supervisors are encouraged to act now to meet the deadline so their employees do not receive a ‘Concedes to Successful’ rating.

The following timeline is suggested for staff members in the Group 3 performance period. Employees should complete their Self-Review and click “Complete and Send to Supervisor” by January 29. Supervisors should complete their evaluation of the employee and click “Sign” by February 9. The reviewer should review the evaluation and click “Sign” by February 13. Supervisors and employees should schedule an evaluation meeting between February 13 and February 29 to review the evaluation. Following that meeting, supervisors should click “Send to Employee for Completion.” Afterwards, the employee should click “Sign” to complete the evaluation, ensuring all evaluations are completed by the February 28 deadline.
