College of Behavioral, Social and Health Sciences honors faculty and staff achievements during annual awards presentation

The College of Behavioral, Social and Health Sciences (CBSHS) honored faculty and staff for their achievements in research, teaching and service during the College’s Spring Faculty and Staff Meeting on May 2 at the Clemson University Barnes Center.

“Each year, I am reminded how fortunate I am to work with such an outstanding group of colleagues,” said Leslie Hossfeld, dean of the College of Behavioral, Social and Health Sciences. “CBSHS faculty and staff are passionate and dedicated, and they are making incredible contributions to our community and world – and because of them, we are able to positively impact people and communities across South Carolina and beyond.”

  • Junior Special Rank Outstanding Teaching Award – Julia Sherry, Lecturer, Department of Public Health Sciences
  • Senior Special Rank Outstanding Teaching Award – Sarah Sanborn, Lecturer, Department of Psychology
  • Junior Tenure Track Outstanding Teaching Award – James Gilmore, Assistant Professor, Department of Communication
  • Excellence in Research Emerging Scholar Award – Matt Browning, Associate Professor, Department of Parks, Recreation and Tourism Management
  • Excellence in Research Senior Scholar Award – Robin Kowalski, Professor, Department of Psychology
  • Award of Excellence in Service Award – Leslie Conrad, Director, Clemson University Outdoor Lab

  • New Employee Award for Exceptional Performance and Outstanding Service – Kayla Lee, Administrative Assistant, Department of Parks, Recreation and Tourism Management
