The Clemson University Real Estate Summit, presented by Choate Construction, is returning to Greenville on March 27, 2025, from 3:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. The summit is looking to build on its successful launch in 2024, which drew nearly 300 attendees.

Organized by Clemson’s Master of Real Estate Development program, the summit brings together industry and academic leaders in commercial real estate to network and discuss industry trends. This year’s theme is “Growing Challenges and Emerging Opportunities in the 2025 Real Estate Environment.”

Like last year, the summit will be held at the Huguenot Loft at the Peace Center in downtown Greenville and will feature a keynote speaker, an expert panel and a networking reception.

About the keynote

Laura Ullrich will be the keynote speaker at the Clemson University Real Estate Summit.
Laura Ullrich, Senior Regional Economist and Senior Manager for the Charlotte branch of the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond will be the keynote speaker at the Clemson University Real Estate Summit.

The summit’s keynote will be an economic forecast presented by Laura Ullrich, Senior Regional Economist and Senior Manager for the Charlotte branch of the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond.

“Dr. Ullrich has delivered economic forecasts to the North Carolina Bankers Association, the North Carolina Chamber of Commerce, Travelers Aid International and numerous other organizations,” said Robert Benedict, acting director of the Master of Real Estate Development program. “She was also a recent recipient of the Athena International Leadership Award. With our uncertain economy and evolving real estate challenges, she is the perfect choice to be the keynote speaker for this year’s Real Estate Summit.”

In Ullrich’s role with the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond, she oversees the team in the Regional and Community Analysis unit that produces the Richmond Fed Survey of Community College Outcomes. Previously, Ullrich was Associate Dean for undergraduate programs and a Professor of Economics at Winthrop University. She earned a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Georgia and a master’s and doctorate in economics from the University of Tennessee.

Following Ullrich’s forecast, she will join a panel of commercial real estate experts moderated by Chuck McShane, director of market analytics for CoStar, a comprehensive platform for commercial real estate information, analytics and news. Other panelists include Reed Kracke of Asana Partners, Derek Mathis of SunCap Property Group and Davis Myers of Choate Construction.
