Clemson University’s STRIDE program has announced that applications are now open for the Fall 2026 ART Academy, a professional development initiative designed to help researchers translate discoveries into tangible market and societal impact.
The ART Academy (Accelerating Research Translation) equips participants – faculty, graduate students and postdoctoral researchers – with best practices in research translation. The program focuses on collaborative societal impact projects and explores research translation pathways, industry partnerships and support resources.
Participants will engage in seven classes between September 2 and October 21. Each session will last approximately two hours. The program is open to faculty, but opportunities for postdocs and students are available as well.
- Over the eight-week program, participants will:
- Collaborate with industry experts
- Develop research translation skills
- Explore commercialization pathways
- Build customer discovery and industry engagement experience
- Explore funding for advancing research translation
- Learn how research can create meaningful societal and economic impact
Participants who complete the program will have the opportunity to apply for STRIDE funding to further their translational research efforts.
Applications for the Fall 2026 cohort must be submitted by August 19, 2026. For more information, contact Craig Kinley at kinley4@clemson.edu.
