Clemson STRIDE has announced its 2027 Seed Translational Research Project (STRP) solicitation. Supported by an NSF Accelerating Research Translation (ART) award, Clemson STRIDE selects a number of STRP project teams to receive funding in support of their early-stage translation ideas.

The accelerated funding opportunity is for Clemson University researchers with translation-ready innovations, designed for projects that have moved beyond fundamental research and are ready to advance toward commercialization, industry partnerships and real-world impact.

With four awards available and up to $100,000 per project, STRP provides researchers with the resources to accelerate promising innovations and move them closer to market.

The deadline to apply is October 23, 2026.

All proposals should be submitted through the InfoReady portal. PIs should contact their College Pre-Awards or Proposal Development offices as they would normally do for external preparation. Proposals will then be submitted by PIs directly via InfoReady portal for consideration by the STRIDE evaluation team.
