Clemson Libraries will host a reading with new author and Clemson alumna Katy Goforth on Thursday, February 20, at 5:30 p.m. in the Byrnes Room of the R.M. Cooper Library. Goforth will read from her debut book “Anchored,” a collection of short stories and other prose pieces. The event will also be available online via Zoom.
Goforth, a native of Spartanburg, graduated from Clemson in 1999 with a bachelor’s in speech and communications and in 2001 with a master’s degree in professional communication. She is a writer and editor for a national engineering and surveying organization in Greenville. Her writing has appeared in Brevity, Reckon Review, Cowboy Jamboree, Salvation Southand other journals. She is Pushcart, Best American Short Stories, and Best Small Fictions nominated. Her novel, “Traveling Alone,”is forthcoming.

“Anchored” is published by Belle Point Press. It is a hybrid collection, part fiction, part memoir.
