The Hispanic and Latinx Heritage Month Distinguished Service award honors and recognizes the contributions of individuals who have positively enhanced the campus climate for the Hispanic and Latinx community at Clemson University (all campuses) and greater upstate region. The awards committee will choose three recipients (staff and faculty, student, and community) who embody the essence of this award through their service to the Hispanic and Latinx community.
The award can be won by an individual every five years.
“Please do not let this opportunity pass to recognize someone working hard to support the mission of the Commission on Latino Affairs or one of the various committees dedicated to events,” said Kathleen Grant, administrative coordinator for the Department of Mechanical Engineering and Clemson Commission on Latino Affairs board member.
Nominations must be submitted by Wednesday, September 23rd. Self-nominations are also acceptable. Winners will be announced during Noche de Gala, Saturday, Oct. 3 at 6 p.m.
