The Creative Inquiry + Undergraduate Research office is seeking applications for the Carr Family Endowed CI award, an annual award that provides $4,000 for one year to enhance and support eligible CI projects.
The deadline to apply is September 30, and applications can be submitted here.
New or existing CI projects are eligible for consideration, and projects must focus on one or more of the following areas:
- Rural economic development
- Rural community/business development
- Fruit, vegetable/crop production
- Production agriculture industries.
The endowment was established in 2014 by 1990 Clemson graduates, Chalmers and Lori Anne Carr, founders and owners of Titan Farms. The endowment has supported a variety of projects over the years, including the latest recipient, a project led by Shahid Mukhtar, professor of genetics and biochemistry, that gives students experience researching how crops respond to stressful conditions, such as drought.
