Students,
As we reach the midpoint of the semester, I hope you found time over Fall Break to recharge and reflect. The pace of campus life at Clemson can be demanding as you balance academics, friendships, leadership roles and future goals. This is a good time to hit pause, check in on how you’re doing and ensure you’re caring for your well-being in every sense — your health, your studies and your social activities.
The second half of the semester often brings new challenges, as well as new opportunities to grow. This is a good time to lean into our shared values that guide us to be our best: integrity, respect, diversity, patriotism, excellence and self-reliance. Living out these values means approaching goals with honesty and determination, taking responsibility for success and learning from each experience. It also means being kind, respectful and measured in all interactions — supporting one another as members of the Clemson Family by establishing a culture of care.
And just a reminder Clemson has many resources, mentors and peers ready to help you finish the semester strong. The CARE Network is a common starting point for referral to campus and community resources when you have concerns. Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) provides a safe, confidential environment to address mental health concerns. And the Academic Success Center connects you with support needed to excel inside the classroom.
As you use these resources to support your success, remember the weeks ahead also offer the opportunity to celebrate what makes Clemson so special. With Homecoming Week approaching, I encourage you to take in the traditions — the float and Habitat builds on Bowman, Tigerama and the general feeling of pride that comes with being part of this community. Homecoming is a celebration of the Clemson Family — past, present and future — and reinforces the shared values that unite us. Let’s carry those values with us into the weeks ahead and continue to make our campus a place where every student thrives.
Go Tigers!
