It is time to get Workday ready!

With less than thirty days until Workday launches across Clemson University, it is time for faculty and staff to learn how to use the new system.

The Workday Training team will offer training in a variety of methods beginning in June. Sessions will continue throughout the summer and fall.

All faculty and staff were enrolled in Workday Basics training through Tiger Training in early May. Faculty and staff must complete Workday Basics as a prerequisite for future trainings.

Security role-based trainings

Some faculty and staff will be assigned additional security role-based training to prepared them to perform functions of their job in Workday.

For example, those who supervise other employees will need to complete the “Workday for Managers” course.

The Workday Training team will notify faculty and staff required to complete these additional trainings. Courses may be instructor-led or self-paced.

Workday@Clemson training library

In addition to instructor-led and self-paced training courses, the Workday@Clemson training team is creating a suite of quick reference guides and videos to walk users through necessary actions in Workday.

These materials, along with links to instructor-led and self-paced courses, will be housed in the training library on the Workday@Clemson website. New materials will be added to the library over the next several weeks.

Faculty and staff can search the library by keyword, topic, and their role, to find materials most useful to them.

Additional training support

Training on how to use Workday will be a continuous process, evolving and growing to meet the needs of Clemson’s faculty and staff.
