The Clemson University School of Nursing is 50!
The school has celebrated its 50th anniversary throughout the school year, with a November event recognizing former deans, directors and longtime supporter Dr. Peggy Deane and a celebration in April that brought about 130 alumni to campus. In honor of the anniversary, the school also unveiled a video, “50 Years Strong, 50 Years Forward,” at the alumni event featuring highlights of the school’s history and outlining its plans for the future.
“The School of Nursing faculty, staff and students are energized by our ‘50 Years Strong and 50 Years Forward’ as we build people and communities with the rest of our College of Behavioral, Social and Health Sciences colleagues and lead health innovation initiatives for the Clemson Forward strategic plan,” said School of Nursing Director Kathleen Valentine.
