Updated employee guidance for return to spring

Share:

We hope that you have had a restful, healthy winter break. The spread of COVID-19, including the latest omicron variant, continues to be challenging for our region and the nation.

To help keep our campus as healthy as possible, please be aware of the following:

  • NEW REQUIREMENT: Face masks are now REQUIRED inside all University buildings state-wide for all persons until further notice, except when alone in spaces such as private workspace, classrooms, or housing rooms or when eating or drinking. Mask must be placed back on when no longer actively eating or drinking.
  • REMINDER: Per the most recent testing directive, all employees are required to test between Jan 3 and Jan 7. Failure to do so will result in loss of building access.

Guidance for students, including the new face mask requirement and other information, is forthcoming this week in advance of their return for spring classes.

The university highly recommends obtaining vaccination and booster shots. Appointments can be made here. Results can be uploaded here.

The CDC has updated isolation and quarantine recommendations on their page here.

Please check email regularly and consult the COVID-19 information updates page for the latest guidance and information.

Finally, THANK YOU for your help in keeping Clemson as healthy as possible. Your assistance is also appreciated in reminding others in your networks to take note of this and forthcoming updates.
