Trustees make powerful statement on values; Provost Jones and EVP Wagner update on fall planning

President Clements provided an update on the June 12 meeting of the Board of Trustees during which the Board unanimously approved a resolution requesting authority from the S.C. General Assembly to restore Tillman Hall to its original name of the Main Building, commonly called “Old Main.” In his most recent correspondence President Clements also offered an overview of the University’s preparations for the Fall 2020 semester.

Executive Vice President and Provost Bob Jones, Executive Vice President for Finance and Operations Tony Wagner, Faculty Senate President Jon Whitcomb and Staff Senate President Sue Whorton updated the University regarding Fall 2020 semester planning in the third installment of weekly Fall 2020 semester updates dated June 21.

Planning for the fall semester continues to develop. Faculty and staff are encouraged to continually check the University COVID-19 page for updates – including health, wellness and stress management resources.
