Testing, face coverings for off-campus students

As part of the University’s holistic approach to a healthy and safe return to on-campus instruction, testing of off-campus students will begin this week. They will also be able to begin picking up face coverings provided by Clemson.

In conjunction with the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC), Clemson will provide off-campus students with PCR nasopharyngeal testing in the NewSpring parking lot today through Wednesday, Aug. 19. Off-campus students can click here to view and register for additional testing dates in the coming weeks.

While there is no way to guarantee the entire community returns to campus COVID-free, the University’s testing guidelines are designed to limit active cases on campus and provide a baseline of incidence in the community.

Clemson is also providing students living off campus with face coverings.  Beginning today through Wednesday, Aug. 19, students will be able to pick them up at the Snow Family Outdoor Fitness and Wellness Complex (map) from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Students will not need to exit their vehicles, as drive-through pickup will take place in the park-n-ride lot on the left once you enter the complex. TigerOne ID cards are required to swipe or scan to receive two face coverings, which have been automatically credited to each account.

Future off-campus face covering pickup dates (between 11 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.):

  • Aug. 24, 25, 26
  • Aug. 31 – Sept. 2
  • Sept. 7, 8, 9
  • Sept. 14, 15, 16

Students living on campus will be provided complimentary masks through the check-in process in their assigned residential area. Move-in dates will be provided in the coming weeks.
